Joel & Bec ♥

I really like when I'm looking through images after a shoot and they just make me smile. These guys make me smile. You can just tell that they love life and they love each other. I asked Becca if she and Joel would want to do a photo shoot over Thanksgiving break, mostly to give me more practice. And we had so much fun! They made taking pictures so easy. You might notice that the majority of the pictures are the two of them looking at each other - completely smitten. Haha. Thats them. You always will know who the most important person in the room is to them. And I think that's really special.

Thanks Becca and Joel! You guys are beautiful and so special to me. :)

The Goldsteins

2 years old and SO MUCH ENERGY! Isaac can run. And run and run and run. And his parents? They're. Awesome. It has been such a joy knowing this family and seeing how God has blessed them and how they have blessed the people around them, including me. And it was such a joy photographing them today! I'll be honest, it was cold, there was a huge threat of sleet, and the wind was strong, but I think its safe to say that we had fun. And I could not be happier with the results.

I feel like this is the first time that I was able to produce the kinds of images that I saw in my head and the kinds of pictures that I want to be taking. I have SO much more to learn. But I am really excited about this. I want to be able to take pictures that capture exactly who a family is. A family being totally natural with each other and realistically perfect. Because the fact is, no one is perfect. We aren't going to be smiley and happy giddy all the time. So sometimes, the little boy might start crying. Or have snot running down his face. Or fall down and scrape his hands. And thats okay. Because "perfect" can include those things. It can be a totally natural environment where the kid can just run. And maybe fall down. I hope you get a sense of that here. I hope that you can see the love that James and Beth have for one another as well as how much they love and cherish their smart, mischievous, energetic, little rascal of a boy.

Thanks, Beth and James, for letting us play today! I hope you enjoy the pictures. :)

I'm going home tomorrow for Thanksgiving break and I am just oh so ready to spend some time with these people that I love. Look at their smiles, their laughs. I expect nothing less from this next week. Its going to be a refreshing time and hopefully push me to finish strong! <3

Emma Jean

Its been over a month?!? Where has the time gone? School has been keeping me extra busy with plenty of projects, presentations, papers, and my senior show! (I'll post pictures soon!) What a blessing it was to have  my family and friends come for that event. If thats what it takes to get everyone to come see me, well, I should do it more often!
There is less than a month left of school (and that is including Thanksgiving break) and I am just so ready to be done. But, there is still lots to accomplish. It was a sprint to get to my show and now I feel like I need to get up and sprint again. But it will all be over before I know it. I'm sure.
I don't really have something new to post, (well, I do. But Im not sure about blogging it just yet.) so I thought I would put up some pictures of my cousin's senior portraits from this summer. We had a lot of fun that day despite the massive infestation of mosquitos that seemed to swarm us everywhere we went. Emma is simply beautiful and it was so great to take pictures of her! It was really challenging to get images of her on Fudge (the horse), but I thought I would include some of those because Fudge just recently passed away. I don't know the circumstances but I know that there are several people that loved him and miss him dearly.
